The lower floor is a picture of open plan opulence and elegance. At one end, the lounge, resplendent with a stylish sofa and twin armchairs, arranged around a flat screen television and modern mirrored fireplace. At the opposite end, the kitchen and dining area. The former is home to an array of high specification appliances, cabinetry and countertops that will make preparing food a pleasure - assuming you need to, what with so many high class restaurants on your doorstep. There will even be a welcome hamper awaiting you, containing some essentials to help you start your stay the right way. And the adjacent dining space is what the word 'snug' was made for, corner seating with a table where you can both sit and enjoy each other's company or whatever you're eating. 

At both ends of the space are broad windows, letting the natural light flood in, giving the room an alluring double aspect. Remember, this is central London you're staying in, so there's no getting away from the atmosphere this vibrant city generates, so expect to hear some street noise. In between the lounge and kitchen, a small table and chairs for work or quiet reflection (there are plenty of mirrors in the property), a handy second WC, and then the stairs. 

Up, up, up to the air conditioned bedroom and ensuite bathroom. That majestic super king bed is formed of ultra comfortable mattress and high class bedding, all presented in the executive style you've already experienced downstairs. And the adjacent bathroom features a walk-in shower, as part of a suite that's as bright and white as the rest of this outstanding accommodation. Your hosts will also supply high quality toiletries and soft, fluffy towels for your use during your stay.

Things to note:
Please note that there are two outdoor flights of stairs and passages which are quite narrow to navigate through with luggage, and there is no lift access to the second floor.

The building used to serve Kensington Palace as the home for the carriage horses and coach riders. In the early morning you may hear the sounds from the horses passing by on their morning exercise.

A baby travel cot (also known as a 'pack and play') and high chair are available upon request, but we must have at least 3 days notice. Please note - the travel cot mattress that comes with it is thin, as most travel cots are. We follow the Lullaby Trust's advice not to put any added mattress or padding into the travel cot for the child's safety. We do not supply baby bedding for the travel cot.

London is constantly developing, therefore some building works on the street can occur from time to time, which can cause some noise during working hours 8am-5pm.
